A child abuse summons has been issued after a toddler was found wandering the halls of an apartment building early Sunday.

The summons was issued to Davoney Sandoval, 22, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office. The relationship between Sandoval and the toddler was not released.

The boy appeared to be between one and two-years old, according to a tweet from the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.

He was found around 1 a.m. in a complex off at 7640 E Harvard Avenue, which is east of South Quebec street.

Deputies canvassed the residents and issued a reverse 911 looking for the toddler's parents.

Around 8 a.m. the Sheriff's Office tweeted that a family member had come forward.
