Authorities in Denver, Aurora searching for man suspected of multiple bank robberies

Authorities in the Denver metro area say they believe a 21-year-old may be responsible for three bank robberies and one attempted bank robbery in Aurora and Denver since late October.

The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, Aurora Police Department and Denver Police Department are searching for Cody Michael Giron, according to a press release from FBI Denver.

Authorities said the following banks were robbed:

  • Chase Bank at 1627 S. Havana St. in Aurora, on Oct. 26 at 2:01 p.m.
  • Chase Bank at 2310 E. Colfax Ave. in Denver, on Oct. 30 a 3:25 p.m.
  • TCF Bank at 1710 S. Havana St. in Aurora, on Nov. 6 at 12:43 p.m.

In addition, there was an attempted bank robbery at the Chase Bank at 747 S. Colorado Boulevard in Denver on Nov. 5 at 4:05 p.m.

Giron is described as a white man standing about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and with medium build. In each of the robberies, he was wearing a black hooded jacket, authorities sad. He has been seen on surveillance camera wearing an orange Denver Broncos baseball hat, a black and white face mask, and a blue and orange Colorado hat.

He has not displayed any weapons or mentioned having one, authorities said.
