Aurora woman shot while looking out window after hearing fireworks early Monday

AURORA, Colo. — An Aurora woman was shot when she looked out her window after hearing fireworks early Monday morning.

Around 3:45 a.m., the Aurora Police Department tweeted that officers responded to the woman's residence, along the 17600 block of E. Eastman Place to investigate the shooting.

The woman told police she had been looking out her second-floor window after she heard fireworks when she was shot.

Police said multiple people called 911 around 2:40 a.m.

The injured woman was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Police said they do not yet have any information on a suspect.
