Aurora police trying to identify driver involved in fatal hit-and-run crash

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that left one man dead on Tuesday evening.

Officers were dispatched to a serious crash at 11:39 p.m. on Tuesday near E. 6th Avenue and N. Peoria Street. When they arrived, they found a man who had been struck by a vehicle, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Witnesses later described the vehicle as a blue, four-door sedan. The driver fled the scene afterward.

The man was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Witnesses also described the driver to police.
