Aurora Police seeking help from public in child sex assault case

AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department is looking for help to identify a man suspected of sexually assaulting a child in December.

Investigators said the man picked up the child from East Colfax Avenue and Kingston Street in a white Lincoln Navigator with leather interior on Dec. 1, 2020.

The child was able to leave following the sexual assault. Investigators are now looking for the public's help to identify the man responsible.

They describe the person they're looking for as a Hispanic male in his 40s, with a medium build, average height, a mustache, possible additional facial hair and short hair in a brushed forward style.

Anyone with information can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (7200 913-7867 to leave an anonymous tip. Anyone with information leading to the man may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
