Aurora Police search for killer after man shot to death in alley

AURORA, Colo. – Police in Aurora are currently searching for the gunman who shot and killed a man Thursday night.

Police found the adult man in an alley behind 1460 Boston Street after responding to a shots fired call in the area just before midnight. The victim was shot several times.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries early Friday morning, police said.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time. His name will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office once he has been positively identified and next of kin have been notified. 

Police searched the area both on the ground and in the air for the shooter, but they were unable to locate a suspect during the overnight search.

Police are still actively investigating the scene and are reaching out to the public for any possible witnesses.
