AURORA, Colo. – Police say an incident in which a car was possibly stolen with three children inside is civil in nature and that the kids are not in danger.
Aurora police tweeted out at 9:15 a.m. that a Hyundai Sonata was stolen at some point Thursday morning with the three children inside.

The department said officers aren’t sure if the suspect in the theft knows the children inside the vehicle.

But minutes later, the department said no crime had been committed and the children are not in danger. It is unclear at this time what led to the investigation.
