AURORA, Colo. — One man is dead after a shooting at the Radiant Inn in Aurora.

The Aurora Police Department responded to 10905 E. Colfax Avenue around 4:22 a.m. Monday for a report of a shooting.

A 47-year-old man was found dead in a room from a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later in the day Monday, investigators arrested the brother of the victim, Jimmy Lee Churchill, 33. He's facing charges of first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

Investigators believe the brothers got into a verbal altercation in the motel room before the shooting occurred.
