Aurora police investigate homicide

UPDATE | Aug. 18 — The person who was fatally shot at an Aurora apartment complex on Jasper Circle on Aug. 9 has been identified as 19-year-old Joshua James Little Hawk-Rogers, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office. They determined the man died of a gunshot wound. The manner of his death was deemed a homicide.


AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating the shooting death of a man at an apartment complex early Sunday morning.

Shortly after midnight the Aurora police responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment home in the 200 block of Jasper Circle in the Centre Pointe Neighborhood.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the department.

No information about what lead up to this shooting or details about the suspect(s) are available at this time.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office once he has been positively identified and his next of kin have been notified about his death.
