AURORA, Colo. — An Aurora man has been charged with multiple counts of sexually assaulting a child.

On Friday, the Aurora Police Department’s Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team, with the help of the Brighton Police Department, arrested 25-year-old Jamie R. Phillips.

Phillips was taken into custody on charges of sexual assault on a child and internet sexual exploitation.

Aurora police said this arrest was the culmination of a multi-month investigation. While police said they are not aware of any occupations where he may have had contact with minors, they believe there could be similar unreported crimes.

Anybody who has been in contact with Phillips and feels they were victimized by him is asked to contact Det. C. Roberts at 303-739-6109.
