AURORA, Colo. — One person is dead and others seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in Aurora Wednesday night.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. on East Iliff Avenue at the intersection South Blackhawk Street, just east of Interstate 225.
Police said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on East Iliff Avenue when it collided with a westbound vehicle attempting to turn onto South Blackhwak Stret.
An occupant of one car was declared deceased on scene, police said. Occupants of the other car were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. It’s not clear what vehicles the victims were in or how many occupants were injured. Police did not provide a description of the vehicles involved.
The factors involved in this incident are still under investigation by the Aurora Police Traffic Section. The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
