AURORA, Colo. – An Aurora Best Buy store will reopen Friday morning after a suspicious device prompted the evacuation of the store Thursday night.
The unknown device was found in a parking lot near the electronics retailer at the Southlands Shopping Center sometime after the store opened for Black Friday deals.
Aurora Police were called and evacuated the store as a precaution around 10:30 p.m. The device was removed from the area by a bomb squad about an hour later.
Police said Friday morning "the items found yesterday were not devices" and said the items "were suspicious in nature but they were not explosives."
The Best Buy at Southlands will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.
