ARVADA, Colo. – An Arvada retirement community showed its appreciation for the city’s police officers Monday at a meet-and-greet event.
Around 20 officers and other specialists from the Arvada Police Department showed up to greet more than 100 residents at the Springwood Retirement Campus, who thanked the department’s workers for what they do.
The officers and residents enjoyed some snacks and lemonade, and the residents all dressed in blue to show their support.
“Everyone had a great time and we couldn’t be more touched by the support of our community – young and old alike,” the department wrote in a Facebook post.
“Thank you BLUE for all you do!” the retirement community posted. “We are grateful every day for their service!”
