Arvada police locate woman with autism who was missing for about 1 week

ARVADA, Colo. — Police in Arvada are searching for a 20-year-old woman with autism who went missing on Thursday.

The Arvada Police Department said Jocelyn Bajandas left the home she shares with her mother, which is in the area of W. 56th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, with a backpack and suitcase on Thursday.

Bajandas has autism and is developmentally delayed, police said. She is supposed to be taking medication, but did not have any on her when she left. She has now been without it for four days.

Bajandas is described as a white female, standing about 5 feet, 5 inches tall. She is about 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
