ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. -- A wildland fire that was burning close to several homes near Aurora in Arapahoe County is fully contained.
Fire crews got the call around 3 p.m. Friday and rushed to the area of 10279 East Inspiration Drive. Several engine battalions were on scene.
Although the 30-acre fire came close to some homes, it did not threaten or damage any structures.
A homeowner burning leaves or trash accidently sparked the fire. There is no burn ban in effect.
This is the second brush fire in the same area in as many days.
Thursday, a 30-acre fire charred a hillside near Pradera Parkway and North Crowfoot Valley Road in Parker. Investigators believe crews working on a driveway gate accidently sparked that fire.
