Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is extending its season for one "bonus weekend."
The resort is scheduled to end its regular season on June 5.
However, A-Basin plans to re-open for the weekend of June 10-12, according to the website.
“This spring has been perfect for maintaining our snow surface in terms of the temperatures and timing of our snowfall,” Alan Henceroth, Arapahoe Basin’s Chief Operating Officer, stated in a news release issued Wednesday.
"Arapahoe Basin will operate with normal skier services seven days a week through Sunday, June 5," the website states. "All skier services will be closed Monday (6/6) through Thursday (6/9). A-Basin will reopen for lift-served skiing and snowboarding on Friday, June 10. Closing day is scheduled for Sunday, June 12."
The Black Mountain Express and Lenawee Mountain lifts will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with top-to-bottom skiing, the resort stated.
The ski area received approximately 300 inches of natural snow this season, according to officials.
Discounted lift tickets can be purchased online in advance on the resort’s website: tickets.arapahoebasin.com.
