DENVER — You can adopt your new furry best friend for free Saturday.

Along with several other shelters around the state, the Dumb Friends League will waive its adoption fees on all pets — cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, bunnies, guinea pigs and more — on Saturday for Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive.

The shelter is partnering with Telemundo Denver and Hill’s Pet Nutrition for the event, which starts at 10 a.m. at both the 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver location and the Buddy Center at 4556 Castleton Court, Castle Rock.

Animal shelters across the country will also participate in Clear the Shelters, which started in 2015.
