An armed robber fired his gun during a robbery of an Aurora King Soopers.

The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force released photos and surveillance video of the armed robber late Wednesday. He robbed the King Soopers at 3190 South Parker Road on Sunday afternoon, and then the Bank of the West at 16778 East Smoky Hill Road in Centennial on Monday morning.

Still images from the King Soopers surveillance system showed the robber pointing his gun at a customer service clerk while stealing cash from the store. He fired a shot into the ceiling during the robbery. When Denver7 visited the King Soopers on Wednesday night, there was one tile completely missing from the ceiling above the customer service desk.

Late Monday morning, a robber wearing the same clothes held up the Bank of the West in Centennial.

One cropped still image from the surveillance system showed the man with his arm up. The task force said that he threatened the tellers. Sources told Denver7 that the robber jumped behind the counter.

Surveillance video from an auto repair shop on the other side of the shopping center, captured video of the robber casually walking toward the bank. About three minutes later, the man is seen running while cradling what turned out to be a bag of cash.

The task force described the man as:

-6'0", white, with a stocky build.

-Wearing a plaid flannel shirt over a black hoodie, jeans and a black ball cap.
