MORRISON, Colo. – No one was injured but quite a bit of damage was done when a suspected drunk driver of an SUV plowed into two homes in Morrison early Monday morning.

It happened in the 4600 block of South Youngfield Drive.

One homeowner said he had just gone to bed when his dog began barking. He got up to investigate and was surprised to discover what had just happened.

“I opened up the garage and there was a strange car in my garage,” said Derek Davignon, whose garage was badly damaged. “The driver was still in the car. She couldn’t get out.”

Crews had to secure the homeowner's garage after the woman tore through his fence and went straight through.

The Colorado State Patrol said the driver of the SUV hit another house before crashing into Davignon’s garage. Troopers say she also struck three cars during the alleged drunken rampage.

Residents say if she had she driven into the first house she hit, she would've gone through two bedrooms.

The woman was taken into custody and troopers say she is cooperating with investigators.
