ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that detectives are continuing to investigate a car fire Monday afternoon and a person’s body that was found inside.
Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Paul Gregory said Tuesday that a preliminary investigation into the person’s death and the car fire near Clayton Street and E. 74th Ave. revealed neither were suspicious. But he said detectives continue to investigate.
The sheriff’s office said Monday evening that they were called out at 5 p.m. to a report of an unattended death inside a vehicle “that appeared to be burning or smoldering.” It said detectives were interviewing witnesses.
