Lockouts have been lifted at several Douglas County Schools near C-470 and South Quebec Street.

The schools were put on lockout while deputies and K-9s searched for a man who ran from the scene of a crash.
While the lockouts have been lifted, law enforcement officials are still in the area.

The man has tattoos on his neck and he may be armed with a knife, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Investigators were also searching for a woman who may be involved.

A lockout is when staff members are on increased alert and all school doors are locked, district officials said. During a lockout, normal school activities continue indoor as planned.
