7-yr-old girl from Pueblo found, alert canceled

Posted

An Amber Alert issued for a 7-year-old girl from Pueblo has been canceled, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation confirmed with 7NEWS.

The alert was issued for Rylee Nicole Lewis, 7, at around 6:57 p.m. Friday.

Pueblo police said she was picked up by her grandmother, Joy Forsythe, 57, at Carlisle Elementary School in Pueblo at around 1:20 p.m.

The alert was sent out because Forsythe is known to be a danger to herself and others, and Pueblo PD believed Rylee was in danger, spokeswoman Patsy Archuleta said.

Pueblo Police were originally looking for a 1995 Silver Chevrolet Lumina with CO license plate 371-TTF. About an hour later after the first alert was sent out, another followed, but the license plate number changed to 014-QWZ

Rylee was found safe. No other details about the search were made immediately available to 7NEWS. We'll continue to update this story as we know more information.
