Several animals were killed in a barn fire in Larkspur on Wednesday morning.
Officials told Denver7 they got the call about the barn fire on Greenland Road around 12:30 a.m.
The owners managed to get some of the animals out of the barn, but seven animals were killed. Officials have only said the animals are small animals, they have not released any other information.
The barn is estimated to be about 15,000-square feet in size. The roof collapsed during the fire.
Larkspur firefighters fought the fire with help from El Paso County, Douglas County, Castle Rock, Palmer Lake and Franktown.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The barn is a total loss.
