1. A cold front is moving in
The heat is about to break as a cold front will move into the state on Wednesday. The front will bring a chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms and highs in the upper 80s. There could even be a little severe weather with 60 mph winds and one inch hail across the northeastern corner of the state.
2. Have you seen this woman?
Erin Vandewiele has been missing since July 23 and sent an eerie text — "He's gonna kill me if I don't get away" — to a friend before her disappearance. She went missing less than a month after moving from Wisconsin to Denver.
3. Missing 10-year-old Aurora girl found safe
While there are still questions about her disappearance, Daniela Ruano-Morales was found safe Tuesday afternoon by a distant relative in the Hoffman Heights neighborhood.
4. If you ride the RTD, get ready for some price increases
The RTD Board of Directors approved an across-the-board fare increase that takes effect starting early next year. The price of a ticket to the airport will go up by $1.50 to a total of $10.50 and local fares would bump up to $3 and regional fares would cost $5.25.
5. Man who drowned identified as Johnstown police officer
The Johnstown Police Department confirmed Tuesday that one of their officers drowned in a northern Colorado reservoir on Monday afternoon at Horsetooth Reservoir. The police department set up a memorial fund for him.
