1. Suspect arrested after Tuesday's shooting near middle school
A juvenile suspect was arrested Wednesday morning. Denver Public Schools said they will have enhanced security present on the campuses of DSST: Cole Middle School all week following the shooting near the school, which injured a 14-year-old boy. 

2. Lochbuie grandmother still missing
A 56-year-old woman who disappeared Aug. 24 from Lochbuie is still missing, police say. The daughter of Terri Ackermanspoke to Denver7 and said she talked to with her mom on the phone the night before she went missing and she was crying. Ackerman is bipolar, battles anxiety and is easily confused.

3. More peaceful weather for the next several days
There still will be some isolated afternoon storms, but they will be weak and short lived for the most part. The weather pattern will be pretty peaceful around Colorado for the next several days. Here's your full forecast.

4. Gov. Hickenlooper will welcome VF Corporation to Colorado

At 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Colorado's governor will welcome VF Corporation, which owns companies like The North Face, Vans, JanSport and others, to Colorado. The company announced it was moving its headquarters to Colorado earlier this month. 

5. Denver-based band involved in fatal crash in California

The heavy metal band Short Fuse, plus some of the brand members' friends, were driving home from California after a 12-day tour when an alleged DUI driver rammed into the back of their van. One man died and six were injured.
