1. First cent minted in America offered at Denver auction
One of the first cents ever minted in America, lost for nearly 130 years, will be offered at public auction today during the American Numismatic Association Convention at the Colorado Convention Center.
2. Meeting about Suncor refinery in Commerce City
Members of the community are holding a hearing to express concerns about the Suncor refinery, which they say is trying to get permission to put out more pollution. The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Commerce City Civic Center, 7887 E. 60th Ave.
3. Senator wants to legalize marijuana nationwide
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) introduced a bill that would remove marijuana from the list of Schedule I drugs, among other things.
4. Great American Beer Fest tickets on sale
General admission tickets to the annual festival go on sale at 10 a.m. today. Act fast, because more than 60,000 tickets sold out in a little over an hour last year.
5. Fairly warm day
