1. It's going to be a one hell of a Thursday
Expect triple digit temperatures in Denver and across the Eastern Plains and little, if any moisture. The fire danger will be high across virtually all of Colorado today! We are predicting readings in the low 100s Thursday afternoon.

2. For you music lovers: There will be free concerts tonight across the metro area
There are several free, outdoor concerts on Thursday. The Drones, Soul School, and 6 Million Dollar Band are just some of the names that will be playing at venues across the metro this evening - but it's going to be hot, so make sure you stay hydrated!

3. Smart Cities summit taking place in Denver
Gov. John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and other city officials will host a summit to discuss how smart cities can future-proof Denver's growth and leverage 21st Century technologies to mitigate 21st Century challenges.

4. Thousands of woman will march in DC demanding a stop to immigrant family detentions
Thousands of women are expected to march in Washington, D.C., following reports that more than 2,000 children had been separated from their parents and placed in facilities thousands of miles away from them. 

5. Several Fourth of July firework shows have been canceled across the state due to fire danger, but many cities have a backup plan. Across Colorado, communities have instead opted for a laser show, and extra special parade and even a drone light show in hopes of keeping the Fourth of July spirit alive and well.
