5 Things to Know for Nov. 21

Posted

Good morning. Here are 5 Things to Know for Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018.

1. If you're traveling through DIA around Thanksgiving, come prepared

DIA employees are doing their best to ensure everybody can get through security and to their flights on time, but there are some things you can do or know ahead of time to make it a little less stressful to you.

2. Are you traveling on the roads? Avoid these areas!

AAA Colorado projects nearly 930,000 Coloradans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving. These hotspots will be the worst for traffic throughout the Thanksgiving travel period.

3. Breckenridge troll will find a new home thanks to task force

The Colorado ski resort town has set up a task force to find a new home for a huge wooden troll sculpture known as known as Isak Heartstone. The sculpture was dismantled last week.

4. Knock-off and illegal gifts are being seizures at DIA

If you're trying to bring questionable items along with you at DIA —knowingly or unknowingly — don't be surprised if you get searched. And caught. Contact7 had an opportunity to go inside the U.S. Customs and Border Protection operation at the airport as it weeds out knock-off, cheap, low-quality garbage gifts and goods that make their way from foreign countries to Denver's port of entry.
