3. New polls show Polis is leading race against Stapleton
The polls — from Keating Research and Magellan Strategies — indicate that Polis is holding an 8- and 5-point lead, respectively, over Stapleton heading into the final days of voting before the Nov. 6 Election Day. Here's more on these recent polls.
4. Charges filed for man who shot at and injured police officer
The man accused of shooting at and injuring a police officer and woman was formally charged on Wednesday. The 25-year-old is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning for his second advisement.
5. More wind in Denver today with cool temperatures
A cold front will roll across Denver this weekend with a chance of rain and snow showers. The mountains could see four to eight inches of snow. A number of winter weather advisories are supposed to go into effect later today.
