DENVER — A once-private event reserved for the "tastemakers of Denver" is now open to the public, and it is billed to be quite the evening.

The 5280 Top of the Town of 2017 will unfold on July 20, and will likely have several surprises for those who have never attended.

Here are 5 things to know about the event: 

1.) Invite only-party turns into public celebration:

For the first time in 25 years of hosting the 5280 Top of the Town, anybody in the public can join in on the fun just by purchasing a ticket.

2.) It's the first opportunity to see Denver's Dairy Block space:

Those who participate will get a sneak peak of Denver's exciting new Dairy Block space, as no events have taken place there yet. Learn more about the future home of business, nightlife and more.

3.) Mini market will offer food from award-winning vendors:

Stomachs will be grumbling with food offerings from vendors like Dio Mio, Annette's, Mizu Izakaya, Dunbar, STK and more.
