5 people in custody after smash-and-grab burglary at Westminster cell phone store

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Three men and two women are in custody after a smash-and-grab burglary at a cell phone store in Westminster early Tuesday.

Police said the suspects were driving a stolen GMC pickup when they drove the vehicle into a Boost Mobile store at 84th and Federal around 1:30 a.m. and then stole merchandise.

Officers pursued the vehicle through Westminster and Thornton before catching up with the suspects at Midway and Sheridan in Broomfield. The five occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee but were apprehended, police said.

Police have not identified any of the suspects.
