5 injured in overnight shootings in Denver, police say

DENVER – Five people, including one juvenile, were injured in two overnight shootings in Denver, police said Sunday.

All of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police were responding shortly before 1:30 a.m. to a shooting in the 4700 block of Yampa Way, where two people taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. A third victim, the juvenile, was later found at a hospital. No arrests had been made.

Around the same time Sunday morning, officers were investigating a shooting in the 4600 block of Clayton Street, where two people were injured and taken to a hospital. One victim was shot in the leg, police said. More information about the other victim's injury was not known. No arrests had been made.

Police were still investigating both shootings later Sunday morning.
