DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo.- Four people were injured when a pickup truck collided with two vehicles on South Parker Road at North Pinery Parkway.
The accident was reported shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Trooper Alisha Danko with the Colorado State Patrol.
A preliminary investigation showed a 2001 Mazda pickup was southbound on Parker Road (Highway 83). It moved into the right lane to pass a 2005 Dodge van and the bumper clipped the van as it moved back into the left lane.
The pickup then traveled into the opposite lanes of traffic where it collided head-on with a 2015 GMC Acadia, according to Danko.
Three people were from the Acadia were transported to the hospital. Two of them had serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup was also transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Some lanes were closed while crews investigated and cleaned up the crash.
The driver of the pickup will be cited with careless driving causing bodily injury, Danko said.
