Posted

The Denver police officer who was shot multiple times on Tuesday is the eighth officer shot in the line of duty in the last month in Colorado.

Just last week, Denver police were dealing with another officer who had been shot. A Denver SWAT officer was shot and seriously hurtwhile attempting to arrest a fugitive near Sloan's Lake Wednesday afternoon. The suspect was shot and killed.

It's been less than two weeks since a man opened fire at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs taking the lives of three people including University of Colorado-Colorado Springs officer Garrett Swasey. Four other officers and a deputy were injured exchanging gunfire with the suspect.
