22,000 gallons of water shuttled in to fight fire in Tabernash

GRAND COUNTY, Colo. -- Fire damaged a home in Tabernash, near Winter Park, early Friday morning.

More than 25 firefighters from East Grand Fire and Grand Fire were called out to the fire in the Winter Park Highlands subdivision at approximately 2:30 a.m.

The Grand Fire Protection District said crews had to shuttle in 22,000 gallons of water to fight the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

"A fire investigator from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation will be arriving from Denver to assist local authorities," the grand Fire Protection District said on Facebook.
