Authorities say a Denver woman was killed when she hit a tree during closing weekend at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
The Summit Daily reports 20-year-old Catherine Abeyta crashed on the intermediate Monte Cristo run on Peak 7 on Sunday. County Coroner Regan Wood says the woman, who was wearing a helmet, died of blunt-force injuries.
Abeyta graduated from Denver's George Washington High School in 2014.
Earlier this month, a skier died after colliding with another skier on the slopes at Breckenridge.
In that case, both men were on the expert "Tiger" ski run.
