Two women were found dead Saturday in a SUV submerged in the Fryingpan River near Basalt.
The Basalt Fire Department and Eagle County Sheriff's Office say a cyclist saw the submerged vehicle and didn't know if anyone was inside.
Two women were found dead in the vehicle and authorities aren't sure when it happened.
The women were identified as Kristina Herron, 64, and Yvonne Honeybrink, 71, from Columbus, Ohio, by Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis.
The Aspen Times reports the vehicle went about 70 feet down a steep embankment before plunging into the river.
