BOULDER, Colo -- A pair of University of Colorado football players who stole items from a dorm room will likely never serve time if they can keep their records clean.

Nu’umotu Johnathon Falo, 19, and Donald Ray Gordon, 20, both pleaded guilty last month to felony second-degree burglary, but received deferred sentences from a judge.

The deferred sentence means if Falo and Gordon can keep their records clean for two years, their guilty plea is withdrawn.

Both were originally arrested on a host of charges for trespassing and stealing a laptop, video games, electronic accessories and cough syrup.

CU athletics spokesperson Dave Plati confirmed both students continue their suspensions, but will work with a program to help rehabilitate their actions. Head Coach Mike MacyIntyre could choose to restore both players if they complete the program.
