Two 6-year-old girls sexually assaulted at Broomfield rec center

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- A 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday for sexually assaulting two 6-year-old girls at a Broomfield Recreation Center.

Police say the assault occurred at the Paul Derda Recreation Center on Nov. 5. It was reported to one of the victims’ mother that they were approached and inappropriately touched by the suspect.  

An investigation led them to the teen, whose identity has not been released. He is being held at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.
