IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — An 18-year-old Idaho Springs man is behind bars, accused of abusing his newborn.
Police advised Paul Davidson Tuesday in Clear Creek County Court on felony child abuse charges. His 2-week-old newborn suffered broken bones and a fractured skull.
On Monday, first responders found the child having trouble breathing and bleeding from the mouth. Doctors at the hospital observed that the child had a broken clavicle, bruising and abrasions, among the other injuries.
Davidson is being held on a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
