16-year-old driver killed in crash near Boulder, CSP says

BOULDER, Colo. – A 16-year-old girl was killed in a crash near Boulder early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Colorado State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 4 a.m. in the 2000 block of Lee Hill Drive, where a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee had gone down an embankment. The teen driver died at the scene, according to the CSP.

The crash happened just northwest of Boulder city limits.

The victim's name hasn't been released yet. The CSP was still investigating the crash later Saturday.
