WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- A helicopter and dogs were brought in to help search for a missing teenager after she hadn't been seen in nearly a day, police said.
Alice Caver, and her dog, were dropped by her mother at Westminster Hills dog park at 100th and Simms Sunday night around 6:20 p.m.
"Alice was told to be home before dark, but she never made it home," police said.
Caver is 14 years old, 5'5" tall and weighs 175 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Her dog Chip is brown and weighs about 50 pounds.
A CodeRed notification was released to roughly 17,500 residents in the Westminster area notifying them that a vulnerable person is missing in the area.
Firefighters and police officials searched several large bodies of water in the area, they said as park rangers searched trails.
Police said just before 3 p.m. that Caver had been found in a hair salon in Superior safe and sound.
Police thanked the public for the help in locating the girl.
