DENVER — Living near Denver International Airport could be noisy, but one resident took his frustration to whole new level.
According to a DIA noise report, one man was responsible for 76 percent of all complaints between Jan. 1 and Sep. 30 of this year. The man lives in Strasburg, which is about 30 miles away from the runways.
The Strasburg man contacted the airport over 3,300 times to complain about the noise. Last year, he complained 3,555 times, according to theMercatus Center at George Mason University.
The majority of airports have a system that allows the public to pass on noise complaints through the phone and online portals.
Officials at DIA said they take all complaints seriously and have worked hard to mitigate the noise levels at the airport, according to Denver7 partner the Denver Post.
