LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A person of interest is in custody after authorities determined a fire at a Lakewood apartment Friday morning was intentionally set.
Early Friday morning, crews with West Metro Fire responded to the fire, which broke out at a small apartment building at W. 14th Avenue and N. Harlan Street.
One unit was a total loss and another was damaged, West Metro Fire said. Five people were displaced.

Two officers with the Lakewood Police Department helped residents escape the unit where the fire started, West Metro Fire said.
Nobody was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but West Metro Fire said they learned through an investigation that it was intentionally set. One person of interest was taken into custody.
No other information was available Friday as of 11 a.m.
