AURORA, Colo. – A suspect is in police custody after a stabbing that left one person dead and two others with injuries in Aurora Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the intersection of East Ellsworth Avenue and South Sable Boulevard shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday and found a man injured and bleeding. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Police said they found another man and a woman nearby suffering from stab wounds. Both victims were also transported to the hospital and officers said they were stable at last check.
Shortly after arriving on scene, officers were able to locate a suspect, who was taken into custody without incident, police said. Officers have not released the suspect’s identity.
The suspect and victims all knew each other, according to police, and there was no threat to the public.
Officers expect to release the identity of the deceased victim after he has been identified and next of kin have been notified.
