BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — One person is dead and another wounded following a fight that led to a shooting in Breckenridge Wednesday night, police said.

Breckenridge police said they were dispatched to an address in the 1000 block of Grandview a little before 10 p.m. after receiving a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, officers found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg and a 29-year-old man who was unresponsive with serious injuries. The 29-year-old did not appear to be shot, police said.

A third person, who was not injured, was the one who called police.

Police said it appears the two injured men got into a fight and one shot the other. Officers said they recovered a handgun from the scene.

Both victims were taken to Summit Medical Center and the 29-year-old was later taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, where he died from his injuries.

The 35-year-old’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

Police have not identified any of the people involved.
