1 arrested, 2 sought in ‘urgent medical assist' sex assault in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Police in Colorado Springs are looking for two men wanted on felony charges related to a sex assault back in December. A Third suspect has been arrested.

Police say the three men were involved in the brutal sex assault of an adult woman at a Colorado Springs home in the early-morning hours of December 8. A child was injured during the incident.

Police were called to the home in the 3000 block of West Colorado Avenue on an “urgent medical assist” around 4 a.m. The two victims were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.

Additional details surrounding the incident have yet to be released. However, Colorado Springs Police identified the suspects Monday after a months-long investigation.

Manuel Jose Menendez, Jr., 28, and Jeramie Marrero, 35, are currently wanted on felony charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Joel Rodriguez, 33, was arrested back in June on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Menendez Jr. is believed to be in the Colorado Springs or Fountain area. Marrero’s location is unknown. However, he has ties to Colorado Springs and Florida.
