'Things just didn't add up': Wheat Ridge police investigate after body found inside car

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. – Wheat Ridge police officers are investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle Friday afternoon.

Police received a call of a man found dead inside a car outside the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center at around 4:11 p.m., in the area of Kipling and Kline Streets.

The body was taken to the Jefferson County Coroner’s office to determine the cause of death.

Police are investigating the death because “things just didn’t add up,” according to spokesperson Sara Spaulding.

No other information was immediately available.
