WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- The lockout at four schools was lifted Tuesday after an armed robber escaped a police perimeter.

The man was wanted for robbing a woman in the parking lot of a Planet Fitness at 72nd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard.

She was not hurt.

Officers set up a perimeter and put four schools -- Westminster High School, Harris Park Elementary, Hidden Lakes High School and STEM Academy -- on lockout. However, the suspect escaped.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’7” tall with a thin build and a butterfly tattoo on his neck.

"Officers believe the subject lives in the area [and] is known to the victim," Westminster Police said.
