WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- A man wanted in a felony menacing case was arrested after an hours-long standoff in Westminster.
Police said when they tried to contact the suspect at 6 p.m. Wednesday at a home on 92nd Avenue, the man was sitting outside, but went inside.
"Two other subjects, who were inside the home, exited the home and told officers the suspect was inside and had possibly barricaded himself," Westminster police said in a statement sent to Denver7.
The SWAT team was called out, several neighboring homes were evacuated and a standoff ensued.
Police said the man was taken into custody six hours later.
Mark Joseph Krieger, 34, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, obstruction, failure to leave a premise and felony menacing, police said.
